Principal's message

Welcome to Emu Plains Public School.

Here at Emu Plains PS we provide a supportive, positive learning environment where every student is known, valued and cared for. The school community works harmoniously to support a culture of excellence in teaching and learning. We strive to instil a love of learning and inspire students to achieve their goals.

Emu Plains Public School is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains and is the second oldest school west of the Nepean River, having served its local community for over 140 years. It currently serves a well–established Western Sydney suburban community with several generations of families having attended the school. Our current enrolment is 434 students.

Strong, cohesive links with local schools, and current development of the Nepean Learning Community affords our students and teachers opportunities to engage in a host of experiences. The school will continue to develop further links with local schools to continue to provide our students with valuable learning experiences which focus on building connections and collaboration.

At Emu Plains Public School, we provide students with the opportunity to engage in a range of extra–curricular opportunities including public speaking, debating, dance, choir, coding and academic competitions. Additional sporting opportunities are offered through the school's participation in PSSA, enabling our students to excel through a range of different experiences.

Our staff here at Emu Plains Public School are an experienced and dedicated team, committed to striving for excellence. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, passion and vision inspire our students to achieve their potential.

Emu Plains PS is a place where the school community works harmoniously to support a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.

I hope you enjoy your visit to our website and would encourage you to contact the school if you would like to discuss your children’s needs.
